ERC AWACA: water cycle in the Antarctic

Posted on Posted in Non classé

Congratulations to our colleagues, Christophe Genthon (LMD, CNRS), Thomas Dubos (LMD, Ecole Polytechnique), Valérie Masson-Delmotte (LSCE, CEA) and Alexis Berne (EPFL) for their successful ERC AWACA proposal which aims to reconstruct and predict the water cycle in Antarctica by combining modelling and measurements. They will use a high-resolution climate model developed at IPSL to simulate the atmospheric water cycle over Antarctica in a holistic way, in order to investigate past climate variability and better predict future climate conditions over this key region.
