IPSL-CM6A-LR

IPSL-CM6A-LR is the latest version of the IPSL climate model. In addition to the physical atmosphere-land-ocean-sea ice model based on the LMDz, ORCHIDEE, NEMO (including the LIM and PISCES subcomponents) models, it also includes a representation of the carbon cycle. Modules for interactive stratospheric chemistry and tropospheric chemistry with aerosols can be activated. The IPSL climate model uses the OASIS coupler and the powerful XIOS input/output server. Model evaluation benefits from the C-ESM-EP and CliMAF softwares.

Further description of the IPSL-CM6A-LR climate model is available on the ES-DOC interface.

Description and evaluation papers are submitted or in preparation and will be published in the The IPSL Climate Model Used in CMIP6 Special Collection in the JAMES AGU journal.
