IPSL libIGCM training – 29 Jan 2021

Posted on Posted in Non classé

Like every year, IPSL CMC proposes a training course on running environment of IPSL models. This course is both for beginners and advanced users.

Due to the current sanitary situation, we have decided to propose a different format and thus this training will be held online. On Friday 29th of January 2021 you will have a first full day (mandatory) with few on-line presentations about a general overview of the IPSL environment and tools (such as modipsl/libIGCM), and then you will start practical work about how to launch a simulation, the post-processing step, how to best monitor a simulation, repair errors, check and redo post-treatment, ensemble of simulation, NEMO… After this day, you will continue by yourself the exercises. The following week, we will propose at least two afternoons where we will be available by video call to help you on your practical work.

Important information:

People who have an user account at IDRIS (Jean Zay machine) or at TGCC (Irène Joliot-Curie machine) will have priority to follow the training. If you only have an account on the Obelix (LSCE) or Ciclad (IPSL) machines, you can anyway register and we will tell you later if we can accept you for the training. For those who don’t have an user account at IDRIS or TGCC, we could propose a training the 14th and 15th of September 2021 at IDRIS (Orsay).

You can register by filling out the following form.
The deadline for registration is the 7th of January 2021.

Details about the course can be found here.
