Like every year, we propose a 2-day training course on running environment of IPSL models. This course is both for beginners and advanced users of modipsl/libIGCM tools.
This year, the course will be given in face-to-face at IDRIS in Orsay (91). Due to the COVID-19 situation, the number of participants in the IDRIS classroom is limited to 12, so we have decided to propose two dates for the training sessions: January 20 & 21, or January 27 & 28. There will be no online session (unless we are forced to do so due to the changing health situation).
The training will start with a presentation about a general overview of the IPSL environment and tools (such as modipsl/libIGCM), and then you will start practical work about how to launch a simulation, the post-processing step, how to best monitor a simulation, repair errors, check and redo post-treatment, ensemble of simulations, NEMO…
Important information:
– The course will be held at IDRIS in Orsay (http://www.idris.fr/info/contacts/alleridris.html).
– The hands on sessions will be done on the IDRIS training computers (login/passwd will be provided during the training).
– The course and the lunch are free as it is supported by IPSL. Travel and possible accommodation are at your expense.
You can register by filling out the following form.
The deadline for registration is the 7th of January 2022.
